I don’t see my destination listed, can you take me to […] ?

In general, Yes we can — as long as the destination is in (or you are coming from) the eastern, south eastern or outer east of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia – please contact us and we’ll make every effort to accommodate you.

Please keep in mind that destinations that are in the outer eastern suburbs, such as Launching Place, Gembrook, Yering & Kalorama should be booked from the Star Service page.

Why do you require a pre-booking for Weddings / Parties and Star Service destinations?

Because Melbourne Eastern Taxis is an independant operation, we have a limited number of cars and drivers – in order to effort you prompt and efficient service, we would ask that you give us as much time as possible to help you get to, or from your destination safely.

Can I use my Multi Purpose Taxi Card with you?

Yes, the MPTP card is accepted by Melbourne Eastern Taxis, please give the driver your card at the beginning of your trip.

Which Payment Methods do you accept?

We accept EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard, AMEX and Cash. Please Note All card payments incur a 5% fee in accordance with the Taxi Services Commission rules.

Can I book a taxi for a group or tour?

Yes, please contact us on 0413 689 384 and talk to an operator to request this type of booking.

Do I need to confirm my booking?

Yes, please contact us on 0413 689 384 after you have registered your booking so we may confirm this request in our system. This is done to ensure a safe and reliable pickup even on busy times.

As a professional Taxi company, Melbourne Eastern Taxis kindly ask that as a customer;

The reasons for why we ask this of our customers;

On busy nights or days customers assume that they will not get a taxi because of there location or the location of the venue, for example; The Dandenong Ranges, Yarra Valley, Yarra Glen or Lilydale and Coldstream Areas.

As a result the “double book”, which causes a wastage in time for our drivers because for one booking 2 or 3 taxis are running to pick-up, which means only 1 taxi will actually pick-up the passenger, while other taxis will waste their time driving to pick-up address.

If there were not as many of these “double book” jobs, these taxis could be actually making pick-ups where customers are patiently waiting.

We understand you as “customers”. We would ask that you understand us as an “independent operator” for the same reason.

Please understand as small local taxi company we cannot afford “No-Jobs.” So Please “Do not double book” Always if possible “Pre-book us.”

If we cannot take your booking there are reasons for that “either we are fully booked out or our taxis are busy helping out local customers”. We will always inform you of this when you make your booking.
